PRI is currently establishing a branch office in Hefei, the capital of Anhui province. Located less than an hour flight west of Shanghai, Hefei is quickly becoming a center of foreign investment. As economic development moves into the inland China region, Hefei’s proximity to the eastern coastal region offers firms lower-cost production alternatives without sacrificing infrastructure and logistical support. Foreign-invested manufacturing in and around Hefei include heavy construction equipment, auto parts, household appliances, chemicals, and cereal grains processing.
Hoover Lee will manage the PRI Hefei office. Hoover brings USA-training, seven years of China work experience, and Chinese language and cultural fluency to this office. PRI Hefei plans to offer initially the following business services:
- HR consulting (recruiting, training, compliance, and employee agreements)
- Initial start-up and registration of WFOE, JV, and 501c3 entities
- Investment consulting and due diligence of local enterprises
- Site feasibility assessments and selection for factory start-ups
